Coinciding with the first day of the book week in Australia, with the coordination and hosting of the Iranian Society of Queensland, the first Brisbane Persian book exhibition "Yaad -e-Yaar-e- Mehraban" was held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, with a large number of people.
In this event, which was held with the presence of a group of scholars, writers, artists, Persian language teachers and lovers of culture and literature, the visitors, while visiting 2,500 books, handicrafts and works of art, had the opportunity to listen to live traditional music. They had the beautiful poems of Australian Persian poets, familiarity with the activities of the Iranian Society of Queensland, Yara Charity Foundation and other associations active in the field of culture and art.
In this great cultural event, children visited the children's booth and got acquainted with the works related to children and teenagers, participated in games and activities for children, and got acquainted with the services provided by Persian language schools in Brisbane.
Yaad-e-Yaar-e- Mehraban Bookfair provided a good opportunity for Iranians of Brisbane to become more familiar with the culture and art of Iran and prepared the necessary preparations for more participation of intellectuals and artists in the future activities of the Iranian Society of Queensland.
